Eric's got a point man. It's much safer to run on the track. Regardless of where you are and what time, if its not in a place designed and used only for race purposes, it's illegal and unsafe. Dude it would be worse to do it in a secluded area at night. Why? What if you hit something, spin out, flip over, crushed, and stuck and your bones broken? You're dead, but that's just an extreme situation. Leave the racing at the track. I've already seen enough in my lifetime.

Dude, i come to the point where i don't care, I am from a ghetto part of california.........people do 50 on a RESIDENTIAL...........I come to the point where i don't care anymore.............and if people get hurt on a MAIN STREET............well, they are either deaf or blind..........
What does concern me is the high speed in the little streets.............but in the super wide main streets......it doesn't matter as much. People speed all the time on the main streets............

But there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between day traffic and traffic between 1am-3am.....And if anything happens, it is spontaneous.....when i race.......

what you see in the movies, doesn't happen here..........there is no track.........you just have to make sure you have enough car lengths ahead of the guy and then slow down and go your path...........that is all.

oh yea, this thing about killing people................ONLY HAPPENS when you have a crowd watching and there is an accident happening. And don't think that accidents only happen when people race...................it happens even when not racing but actually DRIVING SANE............I got hit on the 91............aat night...........BY a HONDA civic and a CRX......this was way b4 racing because i had a TOYOTA TERCEL..............My back got fucked up by a car hitting me with a 75+ mph hit............and i was already at a full stop.
damn crx stalled right in front of me and i couldn't mmove to any of the other lanes...so i ended up getting the full blow.............4 and a half months of spinal therapy........

So don't be telling me that racing kills people................it is the people that drive HONDAs that don't know HOW to sup them up......that is what causes accidents and kills people.........

So stop bitchin, if you don't know anything about accidents........

Oh yea, if you do go to UCR............U will see alot of raceers................spoiled racers............racers with a cause..........etc.

They will speed a 65 on a 25 just to go under the bridge............

I don't know how you can so effectively kid yourself that it's a person's own fault if they are injured, killed, or even just get a car totalled due to someone else racing. Maybe sometimes you do your thing on a track. But, you've already boasted of racing on public streets, and claim that it's only late at night when nobody is out.

Well, I just have my one story, but it means enough to me to call your bullshit. A friend of mine was driving -- carefully, sanely, late at night, on a freeway. Two racers came barreling through, clipped her car, and drove off into the night. She went careening across the freeway, over a barrier, and landed in a ditch where she couldnt get out of the car. She lived, because by chance there was someone else driving nearby who saw this happen, and went back to find her.

Now. You tell me at what point it will get through your skull that you are playing with other people's lives, health, and livelihood every time you race off-track, even for a couple blocks, and that you are just. not. omnicient. enough to make that kind of decision unilaterally.

again...............It is not my fault that she was driving at the time.....THAT IS WHY U HAVE MIRRORS.....what time was it by the way..........

Accidents are going to happen no matter what..............what you can do is look at the damn REAR VIEW MIRRORs.........

Other people know what i am talking about when i say this.............if you concentrate on your surroundings while you drive you won't have a problem........

That is why i always check my mirrors Constantly...........especially after the accident.

She must have been on the phone, or had the radio too loud..........
Many factors play a role, but.......the truth is this..........if they were racing, she could have heard them COMING from a distance...........ENGINE REVS can be heard........

It is either by sight or by hearing it.............she had her warning..........

The ones that are really bad are the ones you never expect........like my accident.........I was driving sane......*back then i had a toyota tercel*............I tried getting to another lane.....but couldn't because SUVS were on both sides of me............then BOOM.......i got hit by a 2004 Honda Civic Si...........I was sandwiched!

Besides, when i do RUN my CAR *spontaneously*...........no one in the right mind is walking.......because they are at home......or somewhere else......

I bet you, after her accident..............she is more cautious about her surroundings.......I bet you she checks her mirrors..........more than what she did before.......

Me, I just check my mirrors more often.........I can always tell if they are speeding, either by sight or by hearing them..........

What is traumatizing for me is to see people TAIL GATE ME...........

OH yea, just incase you didn't know, when i mean you can hear their engine i mean you can literally hear their engine............when they want TOP SPEED..............you will hear them on a lower gear..................2nd gear-about 55mph...............3rd gear-about 75mph..................4th-95mph...........5th gear- MAX SPEED...........

I can see you're convinced that streets are your own personal playground, and that it is everyone else's job to get out of your way when you want to play. I will refrain from extending my arguments much farther, but I will say I hope you come to your senses before you or someone you're racing against maims someone then blames it on them for daring to walk on your unofficial drag strip after 2 am.
